When you have anxiety it is very important to get busy. A body that is in perpetual motion tends to lose power to be as anxious or to experience less symptoms of anxiety or panic.
Exercise is a word that some people find hard to swallow. You don't always have to do sit-ups, jumping jacks, and aerobics. Those things are great but you can do other things like ride a bike or take a walk in the park.
Yard work helps as well. When you put your energy into something else it pulls it away from your mind. Anxiety also takes energy. When you are using that energy to do something else instead of sitting worried and anxious, it tends to not use anxiety to burn it up. From personal experience, a good walk and some yard chores really help me.
I feel a lot better physically and mentally. Do not underestimate the power of exercise. It will also increase your energy if you tend to drag through the day or feel like sleeping all the time. One reason for the sleepiness could be because you are too sedentary. Things that keep up movement stay strong and work properly. Kind of like and engine or motor. If it stops and is not maintained or oiled regularly, it rusts. You will never regret getting yourself fit. Take small steps and work your way up! You can do it!
